Description

The AJB-5b bridge pickup was voiced for solid low end with a slight dip in the mids. This gives your Jazz warmth and clarity with a hotter output and definition for the lower strings. It delivers an even, articulate tone that balances naturally with the powerfully detailed and punchy neck model. A fully discrete, ultra quiet, 9-volt preamp delivers low impedance output with excellent dynamic range. This pickup uses blades instead of individual pole pieces, and so it can be used for both 4-string and 5-string Jazz Basses. This bridge pickup will accommodate string spacings up to 3.10″ (78.7mm). NOTE this is a traditional sized 5-string Jazz Bass pickup and will not retrofit Fender Jazz V models.Pair with our active 5-string Jazz Bass neck model for a perfectly matched set.Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, our Active 5-String Jazz Bass pickup uses a ceramic bar magnet, and comes with a 3-conductor lead wire.
